Self taught French reading
Inquiring Minds Ask the Cool Questions
Maureen Turner was an inquisitive and creative child. She asked lots of questions, studied ballet and discovered a lifelong passion for painting. In high school she taught herself to read French literature, excelled at writing and was abysmal at physics.
She studied a bit of French in middle school. Then she decided to just read books in French. “French is one of my great loves. I taught myself French by reading.It’s the greatest way to learn a language – if you’re not moving to France. My brain was actually made to learn these languages for me.”
